Well, it looks like all the rumors of Mass Effect 2 coming to PS3 have been squashed. According to IGN, Jay Watamaniuk, the man who had slipped and said Mass Effect 2 was going to be on 3 platforms corrected himself in a forum post. He makes it clear that the game is not going to be seeing a release on the PS3.
Watamaniuk said, “Let me clarify today: ME2 is coming to PC and X360 only.” While there has been a lot “mistakes” made and rumors born, it looks like Playstation 3 owners will not be seeing Mass Effect 2. At least they have uncharted! As announced yesterday, Mass Effect 2 is set to hit stores on January 26th(29th Europe).

If people aren’t a fanboy, they will accept the fact and buy it for the PC or Xbox. It’s a shame though, it could have potential on the PS3 due the slightly better graphics than the Xbox. But then again, I don’t really mind either way, as long as the game comes out.

Kind of a bummer for those with only a PS3, but it’s not really surprising. Microsoft wouldn’t let Mass effect go without a fight.
