According to the BBFC, Assassins Creed II will have about 3 hours of cut scenes total. The BBFC said in their classification of the game that, “linear elements within the work had a running time (eg cut scenes) of 181m 30s. That doesn’t seem too bad to me, but if they game is only 6-8 hours long than a half or a little under half is cut scenes, and that might make some people pretty upset. Hopefully the game’s length will exceed that by a few hours. All I can say is, at least it’s not MGS4. Remember all those cut scenes, especially the hour long one(they were amazing though)?

Well, I agree on this one. If there are simply 3 hours of cutscenes, they better have at least 8 to 10 hours of main-quest gameplay in there, cause I’m personally not very fond of watching a interactive movie instead of playing a game.

I think thats similar to the MGS gameplay demo i saw on GT made the game that much more to buy if I had a PS3 when i saw it this will probably be the same but at least i can buy this one ^-^
I enjoy cutscenes, but if ACII is as repetitive and boring as the original, then I won’t be getting it.
I hope it’s a great story though.
I doubt AC2 will be around 6 hours long. I believe the first game was longer than that, well maybe not if played straight through. Like gazette said, if it’s a good story, let the cut scenes roll!
Now I haven’t played MSG4, but weren’t some of their cut scenes interactive?
cut scenes are great if they are telling a good story, i wouldnt trade MGS4s for anything. i hope that AC2 is at least 12hrs of actual game play + the 3hours of cut scenes.
