87,206 Lines of Dialogue in Assassin’s Creed 2

We learned last week that Assassin’s Creed 2 would have over 3 hours of cut scenes, and I feel now we know why.  Azaïzia Aymar who is the Community Developer at Ubisoft on Assassin’s Creed 2 made it known via Twitter that the game will be in 7 languages and feature 87,206 lines of dialogue.  Wow, I wonder how long it takes the average person to reach that many IRL.  This might explain why the game has over 3 hours of cut scenes, that’s for sure.

Assassin’s Creed is set to talk your ear off on November 17th.

That’s a lot of lines, should be interesting to see the story that comes out of it.

Should be, I think the lines are totaled from the 7 different languages, but still thats like 12k per language, 3hrs of cutscenes, that’s a lot

Didn’t The Old Republic or maybe some other game say that it had about 12 novels worth of dialogue in it?

As long as the dialogue is decent, I don’t mind either way. But that’s alot for a game, really. It’s like L4D, which had pretty much individual lines too. I’ll await the outcome of these revelations.

Honestly I can careless about how many lines of dialogue there is in the game. If the game looks good, has a relatively interesting storyline and feels good or rather has somewhat of an excellent gameplay mechanic then I’m sold. Knowing how much dialogue is in the game really doesn’t peak my interest. There’s little to no dialogue in parasol stars and A link to the past and those are fantastic games. So yea, interesting that AC2 has so much dialogue I wonder if you compare this game’s dialogue to other games like Uc2 or Brutal Legend or even the first one, that would be interesting.

Now I’m interested, lets see if Ubisoft can pull it off.

Um, I don’t know if that’s alot or not. I’d have to compare to other games…well it will be a given RPG’s will have the most.

This adds so much to games. I hope the cut scenes are like MGS4. So many people hated watching them, but I felt they added to the story a lot. I hope these will also add to the story.

So basically, half the dialogue of Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story.

    I can deal with that.
