You have to wonder what’s running though someones mind as they try and harm their own flesh and blood. In Houston, Texas, a man is accused of killing his own son in a dispute over a video game. At around 4:15 am on Sunday, a drunken Ofelio Antonio Otero became upset over a video game that had gone missing. He then began an argument with his wife over the location of his missing game and then turned his attention to his 17 year old son.
According to sources, as he yelled at his son he loaded a gun. It was said that, “the son proceeded to try and knock the gun away and then run away.” Unfortunately the young boy was shot once in the neck and died at the scene. The father, Ofelio Antonio Otero ran like a coward from the scene and when found, had a 3 hour stand off with the HPD SWAT team. He later surrendered and is now facing charges of murder and is being held with bail set at $100,000.
Our prayers go out to the mother, but all I can think and ask is how can one kill their own flesh and blood?
