It seems like everything gets leaked in France these days. With that, a copy of Modern Warfare 2 was leaked and luckily streamed for all those who wanted to ruin the game for themselves. One thing no one expected was to see that MW2 might not just be a first person shooter, but third person as well. The crappy quality footage below shows this off. Could the game be both genres? Third person is the type of thing I would try for 5 minutes, say “That’s cool,” and never touch it again.

Out of respect for MW2 I’m not going to watch the video, but the concept of it being Third and First Person Shooter would be surely interesting, though I think the Third Person Shooter will mostly likely be using when a player carries a Riot Shield or something like that, things that largely obscure your vision in first person.
it looks like IW is trying to go against socom in military 3rd person shooters, but i could be wrong
Could be Spectator, but I’m hoping there’s some 3rd person action. It’d be nice to have some special 3rd person games with other people.

Nice! I love me some 3rd person shooters. I noticed that the movement looks a lot cleaner than it did in MW1. I imagine since they put 3rd view in everything has been tested heavily or else they would have scraped it. Than again it’s mainly a FPS so maybe they could have thrown a half-ass TPS view.
Nonetheless, it should be pretty cool playing a MW game in 3rd person. Too many great games coming out the holiday season is going to make me depressed when I watch you all play them.
Very interesting, definitely looks like Infinity Ward is looking to pull out all the stops. Two more weeks, I can’t wait.
i was a little skeptical at whether or not this was spectator mode, but you can actually see a crosshair on the screen and when hes aiming. I think it will be cool that they incorporated both 3rd and 1st person shooters into the game to appeal to both fanbases.
I hope this is real, I would love a 3rd person mode.
