Well, it seems like the guys over at Gearbox did what they set out to do. The game Borderlands was pitched as “Halo meets Diablo” and calls itself an “RPS.”(role playing shooter) It seems like other game developers are having fun with it, even Cliffy B.

It seems even Gears of War creator Cliffy B is loving Borederlands. I do agree with him that I as well adore the game and it is the Diablo for this generation. Good call Cliff, good call.

I loved Diablo. I played it so much back in the day. It really is so similar with the exception of being a shooter.
That is exactly how I would describe it, and I have. I sold a friend of mine on the game by telling him that it was basically a first person Diablo, and he went out and bought it and likes it.
I’ve never played Diablo, so I couldn’t compare there. I do like the “RPS” classification. Honestly though, I can’t play this game for too long in one sitting. I get bored really easy of it. I mean the whole games from start to where I am, lol not to finish yet, is just more of the same.
I have to agree with Cliffy on this, this game is a drug. I played a little Diablo, and these two games have a lot of similarities.
