After Microsoft went on their recent banning spree, many pirates and modders were left with consoles that would not work on Xbox Live anymore. What are they doing with these consoles you may ask? It appears some are selling these people are selling their banned consoles on none other than Craigslist! The folks over at Icrontic did a little digging on Craigslist and found some modded consoles that had been banned for sale in their area.
I decided that I would check my area as well as a few others to see if this is happening all over, and low and behold it is! Banned consoles are infesting Craigslist like a plague. The following I found in the SF Bay Area, NYC, and Dallas/Fort Worth.
What a great idea huh?! Sell your console that’s modded and banned to someone else! Well, it’s not really so nice because it’s banned and they shouldn’t be selling modded consoles in the first place. Now might be a time to stay away from used 360’s not only from smaller retailers, but Craigslist as well. I hope one of these modders goes to buy another console to mod and it’s already modded and banned.
i think i’ll keep mine since it not like any thing has changed besides live didnt play online much any way at least not on live PSN mainly i can still dl and burn any game i want just like mw2 (had for like 2 weeks)took them more than two years to finaly catch up 2 me i’d say that was a good run. and THERE WILL be a fix soon any ways there always is

Damn, some of them are clueless on a few of the prices. I mean a modded and banned 360 for $300? What are they fucking stupid?! At least they are making it clear they are modded and banned, but there are those people out there that wil and are trying to pass them off as “normal.”
I for one, never trusted Craigslist. You can get ripped off and it’s your own fault. I’ll stick with EBay and/or Yahoo Auctions, lol. maybe even the classified ads in my newspaper.
I’d buy one for 5 bucks so I could finally bust one open and take a peek lol.

I mean..at least some are saying that the console is banned. Thats why I only buy through Ebay of PayPal because there is always a way to get reimbursed if the product you bought was faulty or mis-advertised.

The people who buy em are probably gonna fix em up or do something useful to them, not just play offline all the time!
At least they have the decency to say that it’s banned. But at the same time you know someone will buy it without realizing what the console being banned means.
