My vote goes to Borderlands.
um i think goty should be MW2

What do I think? Even though I haven’t played it personally Uncharted 2 would be my answer. I watched enough casts on JTV for me to say that.

Its a hard choice between Borderlands and Modern Warfare 2 for me
I would like Borderlands to be GoTY. Simply because it is a game that is unlike any other game that has come out this year. I have a feeling though that MW2 will be GoTY. Don’t get me wrong, it is a hell of a game, and should get something, but Borderlands was just like nothing else this year.

Hmmm, very tough decision. I would have to pick…I can’t decide. There is alot of great games this year. But one I would have to pick is Uncharted 2, even though I have never played it, it’s a good lengthy story and has multiplayer which just adds to it. But once again, haven’t played all the games this year yet, so you never know.
i would pick….MW2
mmmmmm Borderlands, Wet, Prototype, Uncharted 2, Halo ODST, Left4dead2 or Assassin’s Creed 2? IMO i pick Assassin’s Creed 2. Amazing story telling of the 14th century and get to live it while playing the game even thought the game is not out yet. It looks so sexually fantastic.
mw2 is overrated, uncharted 2 gets my vote
Uhh.. I’m not sure if it counts because its a DLC but Ballad of Gay tony. It was amazing (from my point of view, never played it only watched) But if that does not count, then.. i will just agree with everyone else MW2, because I cant remember any 2009 games that blew my mind.

Modern Warfare 2… MW1 was F’ing amazing, and MW2 has like, 10 times the features… how will it not be The ‘Game of the Year’
Borderlands might come close, but in reality, all of its guns are just re-textured with different stats and effects.

Gearbox just did such a great job mixing up FPS and RPG elements into one game. And to top it off, 4-player co-op. I love it.
Dragon Age Origins, I am having so much fun with the game. That’s coming from a guy that loves RPG’s though.

Uncharted 2 sounds like a good choice. That game is excellent.

seriously i’m as addicted to it now as i was when it first came out!
i’m still going to tournaments for it and playing it with friends, thought fighting games can beat shooters these days (mainstream’d) but IMO this is GOTY
Based on my experiences i would say Modern Warfare 2 because of the well developed online. But Modern Warfare Reflex for the Wii also looks very good since it has all the maps and guns that it originally had in CoD4. Anyway Wii NEVER gets any GOTY’s so i’m going to say Modern Warfare 2
You know what sexy kreyg ? Uncharted 2 deserves it. Why ? Well, Naughty Dog has made the most impressive game technically and gameplay wise this year and potentially the best of this generation.
OH, BTW… Havoc powers Uncharted 2. HAVOC > Euphoria.
The only games I’ve played that came out this year was MW2 and BF 1943. I’d say that BF 1943 is definitely the Arcade game of the year. idk about regular console games though, I think Assassin’s Creed 2 could give MW2 a run for it’s money, single player story wise.

Up to this point, I think it’s clearly MW2. It came in with a lot of hype and fanfare, and for the most part I think it delivers. I would have chosen Borderlands, but IW really brought their A game with MW2.
I’m a firm believer in the amazing-ness of Uncharted 2. Definitely amazing all around game and I’m addicted to the multiplayer. Oh yeah, it looks pretty damn good also.
How can you vote for L4D2 when it isn’t even out yet? Voting based solely off the demo, or the hype?
I have to be honest, Modern Warfare 2. I really do think it lived up to the hype. I haven’t played it, but based on all the footage I’ve seen, general impressions from the game, and from what I’ve seen personally, it really does look kick ass.
It also has me very excited. I don’t have a 360, but this game is really making it difficult for me not to pick one up. So yeah, MW2 it is.

either assasins creed 2, mw2, or the gta 4 dlc of gay tony(if u can count that). but i was EXTREMELY dissappointed with halo 3: ODST cause it didnt really live up as i thought it would.

Hmm, lots of sequels.
I don’t know yet, MW2 is on top of the list, but i haven’t played the full l4d2 game or assasins creed 2, so we will have to wait and see. I’m thinking it is MW2 or going to be MW2, but L4D2 has a good chance of being game of the year too.
It’s a Fight between the 3 sequels: Modern Warfare 2, Assassin’s Creed 2, and possibly Uncharted 2. But I’m more on MW2 side.
MW2 should be the game of the year its a fun 1st and 3rd person shooter that people can enjoy and kill your friends when your pisst at them own them and pwn them

I would have to say borderlands because I am not a full time shooter gamer who goes mw2 even though its only been out for a few days.
Well, I’ll go by my personal enjoyment in stead of graphics/sales/whatever. So far Borderlands is taking the top for me. But I’m very much hoping for Assassin’s Creed 2 to take the title of my GOTY.
