In Collier County, 18 year old David Daniels was arrested and is now facing felony charges of kidnapping and armed robbery. This was after he forced his victim, Kyle Yarkosky to buy him a PS3. The ordeal began when Yarkosky was going to meet a friend of his in a gated community, Pebblebrooke Lakes.
On his way through the gates, the truck in front of him stopped and before Yarkosky could do anything, two armed men got out of the vehicle. David Daniels being one of these men, he was armed with an assault rifle. Yarkosky told author and there was another “asian looking man” with a semi-automatic pistol.
Daniels proceeded to demand money from Yarkosky and hit him in the head with the gun. Yarkosky was then forced to take the two armed men to his home. At the home, Daniels forced him to take jewelery and his stepfather’s credit card. Yarkosky was then told to take Daniels to Walmart where Daniels intended to have Yarkosky use the credit card to buy him a Shotgun.
When they arrived at the Walmart, the gun counter happened to be closed. It seems that Daniels did not want to leave Walmart empty handed. He decided he would take the second best thing to the shotgun, a Playstation 3. After Daniels had his console and was ready to go play some games and watch Blu-ray, he released Yarkosky saying he was “free to go.” Daniels didn’t get to enjoy his PS3 for long because he was arrested, but Police are still looking for the others involved.
