Irate Gamestop Customer Threatens To Kill Someone

“It was an interesting day here at the GameStop,” said Gamestop employee David Roman.  Not interesting due to trades or sales, but due to the fact an angry customer threatened to kill someone.  A 43 year old customer tried to return an Xbox console without a receipt and was declined by the Gamestop employees.

The 43 year became irate after the employee’s declined the return and then threatened to kill someone.  This is just a big NO-NO!  One thing people won’t take lightly is when you threaten lives.  The employees called the police who didn’t hesitate and were in “active shooter response” mode.  This means not one, but a team of officers are sent to stop the threat.

When Police arrived they had employees and customers wait in the backroom as they threw the man against the counter and arrested him.  Police searched his bag in which they found a stun gun.  Stun guns happen to be illegal in Michigan.  Police said, “He said he needed it for protection.” I would like to call BS on that one.

The 43 year old man is being held in Police custody and could very well face charges for possession of a stun gun and disorderly conduct.  Thankfully no one was hurt.

I wouldn’t really call him OLD… I mean w/e who cares how old he is. I see teens running around acting like idiots when I come back from school everyday. I think that guy was acting inappropriately, but honestly, if it was a kid who threatened to kill someone, I think they would have brought a gun just because kids these days have no idea what they are getting into. PS. Stun guns won’t kill people

I was watching this show on tv today that talked about shoplifters. This one guy went into a store and took one of the dirt bikes off the display and then headed towards a cashier asking for a return without a receipt. He then just walked out.

Receipts are good to keep for a little while just in case there is anything wrong with what you bought or you need to return it.

One time I was was buying some game at gamestop when a person was returning his xbox and ge got mad at the employees because of the money he was getting back was “too small”. He did not threaten anyone but was involving all the customers and the employees. “I need my stun gun for protection” At a Gamestop?

Nice one on the employees, or probably just one employee, for acting calmly and doing the right thing. And if this guy was going to choose somebody to make a false return to, Gamestop should not have been his first choice.

Wow, sounds like a scary day. Kind of guts for them to call the police and not just do what they guy asked, and then call afterwards or something. Nevertheless, no one was hurt, so I guess they made the right choice.

“Police searched his bad in which they found a stun gun.” Bad should be bag. Just pointing it out. This is funny though, people do need to learn to choose they’re words more carefully.

Lesson learned, keep your receipts. More important lesson learned…police take death threats seriously.

Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.

I like how his method of protection is something that’s illegal in his state as opposed to all other methods of protection he could use.
