This sort of thing always makes me laugh. Everyone remembers a few weeks back when Tennis player Andy Murray was dumped for his MW2 “obsession,” right? Well it seems another celebrity couple is having some issues and the cause once again is video games.
Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron, the “High School Musical” couple are having some relationship issues at the moment. At the heart of the problems is an Xbox 360. Recently, Hudgens gifted her boyfriend some games for Christmas and it seems he enjoying them more than her.
A “source” told Contact Music that,
Vanessa has hardly seen him. He talks more to his friends online while blasting away at aliens or whatever, than to her. Vanessa has even tried joining in but her boredom threshold is a lot shorter than Zac’s. She’s on the verge of saying, ‘It’s either me or the X-Box.’
The guy was just enjoying his gifts and she has to give him crap about it. Guaranteed if he didn’t play the games, she would have been pissed off at him as well, albeit not to the extent she is now. I guess there is just no win with women sometimes. Looks like Zac will have to take a break from “blasting away at aliens or whatever” if he wants to keep getting lucky with Ms Hudgens.

Girls just don’t get it. We let them watch their silly soap operas and overly dramatic romance movies, is it too much to ask to be allowed a few hours alone with our respective video game consoles. I suggest they find a game that they can have fun playing together; seeing as they’re both High School Musical stars, I would suggest Lips or one of many other music games.
If a girl wants ti spend time with here boyfriend instead of having him play games the solution is not to b*tch about it and threaten to leave. PLAN SOMETHING FUN. It really isn’t that hard to give a guy something that they would want to do more than play the games. Movies, movies are good. After the movie walk to a restaurant or go home and make dinner together. You get an entire evening and all you have to do is say “Do you want to go see Sherlock Holmes?”

Do guys whine about their spouse going shopping or another form of entertainment/relaxation that many men find boring? Of course they do, but not to their girlfriend or wife.
Okay, let’s say my girlfriend bought me a book for my birthday and I read it three times in the week after because it’s that damn good. Is she going to get pissed because I’m spending time using the gift she gave me after taking time out of her day to pick what she thinks I would like? No. A good novel is a fairly significant investment of time, as are video games, and anyone gifting either should know that. Plus, we tend to play new games or other forms of entertainment until we’ve got plenty of use out of them.
Maybe this is why people are terrible gift-givers: so they are always in the spotlight of their love’s life.
Or maybe when a guy gets a video game he’s been waiting impatiently for, he should reciprocate and buy his girlfriend a battery-operated boyfriend so they both have plenty to do.
I bet it’s not so much the gift itself it’s the fact that he is on Xbox Live shootin’ shit with his buddies. All she hears is him yapping away and having fun while she is probably watching her Desperate Housewives marathon or some lame reality show.
Ahhh, who cares her and her life. I know I sure as hell don’t. I mean “Christmas” gifts….it’s been like what a week since Christmas. Who f*cking really cares.
