Ms. Know-it-all

It was January of 2008 and FOX News was blowing Mass Effect’s sex scene way out of proportion. FOX news claimed the game contained full nudity, when in fact it did not.  Geoff Keighley was there to defend the game against not only FOX News, but “psychology specialist” Cooper Lawrence as well.

During the debate, Cooper Lawrence makes it clear she has no idea what Mass Effect is really about and acts like a total know-it-all stuck up b*tch.  FOX news later came out to apologize that they were wrong about the game and that there actually was no scene with “full nudity.”  Cooper and FOX must have felt mighty stupid after that one!  And they say game journalists aren’t “real journalists.”

It’s almost 2 years later and Geoff Keighley, being the nice guy that he is, extended the offer to Cooper to come talk about the upcoming sequel to Mass Effect in a non unfair and unbalanced environment.  Cooper of course refused and no one’s really surprised.  She can’t hide behind FOX in Geoff’s house.

Yesterday, Geoff Keighley taunted Cooper Lawrence via Twitter saying,

Starting to play Mass Effect 2! Cooper Lawrence give me a call if you want to come over honey!

I bet since 2008 he’s wanted a chance to get her in a an environment where she’s not given the advantage.  My hat goes off to Geoff for pretty much being awesome and taunting Cooper like that.  Geoff, you are an inspiration to gamers everywhere.
