MAG Designer Says Xbox Live is “More Juvenile”

Ben Jones of Zipper Interactive recently spoke with GamerZines at a MAG  launch Party in London.  Jones told GamerZine that he considers Xbox Live to be “more juvenile” than the PlayStation Network.  Which I’m sure is something many of us might agree with.

Jones believes it’s “the things that are being said over Xbox Live” that make it this way.  Being with the Xbox Live service 5 years now, I can agree to some extent.   Jones then goes on to state, “I think the PlayStation audience definitely fits more to our game.”  He then used the MAG beta as a reason why,

As we saw in the beta we’ve got an audience that’s willing to communicate and willing to organize and structure, and help other people to play the game. That’s the most remarkable thing that I saw in the beta – random people helping other players along to try and familiarize themselves with this really cool experience.

While that might be true, different games breed different communities.  It should also be noted that Xbox actually comes with a mic, and the PlayStation does not.  Meaning more people are actually saying things over Xbox Live, but this video does illustrate what Jones means about it being “juvenile.”
