No One Left Playing Halo 2

It was down to a few people last week, and then earlier today there was only one left standing. Apache N4Sir was the last person to ever be in a game of Halo 2 on Xbox Live. As of now, no one is left. Halo 2 on Xbox Live is officially no more.

Halo 2 will live on through memories, montages, MLG videos, and more. It had a good run, but now it’s finally over. It was amazing to see a small group of people keep it alive as long as they did — hats off to them.

I never was the biggest Halo 2 gamer but R.I.P. anyway…..I wonder how long people will play Halo 3 or Reach.

As long as there are severs for them. People are still playing Halo PC and that game is even older than Halo 2. If there are servers, people will play it.

5 and a half years is a good run for a console title.

Well it only took a month to finally get everyone to stop paying original games. It is also nice to see M$ and Bungie not force them off, they just let them play until they felt they wanted to stop, or outside forces removed them. I just wonder how many Xbox broke while they just sat their doing nothing.

You will be missed Halo, but your time has come to step aside and let the big boy play.

Farewell Halo 2. So many memories, how I’m gonna miss all the great matches and glitches like getting on top of various maps, Spectre sumo wrestling on top of Containment, climbing the “stairway to heaven” on Burial Mounds, and the rumored Hunter portal on Coagulation.

    Good times. You’ll be missed.
