Seller of $50,000 NES Was Duped And Re-lists — Reason Being Kept “Private”

nesnotsold

On Saturday, we ran a story of an NES auction that received a winning bid of $50,000. Well it seems eBay user Ronald3868 has been let down by the buyer. The NES bundle was re-listed Sunday evening and still has the $35,000 price tag on it. In the info he explains the buyer never paid and the reason for that is being kept “private.”

BUYER DID NOT PAY FOR ITEM. ITEM BEING RE-LISTED. REASON IS BEING KEPT PRIVATE.

We had contacted Ronald over the weekend and he told us that he had been in contact with the buyer. It seems despite that, the buyer ended up not paying for the NES. Unfortunately, Ronald has decided to keep quiet on the reason and declined to comment further on the matter.

The winning bid looked a bit fishy to begin with, but one can only wonder what was running through Ronald’s mind after he found out he wasn’t going to get paid. It looks like he gets more time with his most prized possesion, but his bills are going to have to wait a bit longer.

We can only wonder what was the reason was, and why Ronald3868 is being so quiet about it. I think it’s time to move on from this and let it go.

Rofl, he gave some sob story about why he needed the cash. He got duped by the buyer though which was kind of funny, yet sad. I didn’t think anyone would play that much for the console.

its because thats all ebay is now a days, people who make fake accounts and try and scam people into sending off their products, and the buyer never sending the money in return, or saying its on the way, i stopped using ebay about 4 or so years ago.. AMAZON is soooo much better.

When I sold on Amazon, they had pretty high seller fees, but it seems a lot better than ebay.

Hahaha, damn this is going to end in some tragic way of him getting paid 10 bucks for it or something… which would be hilarious.

Well that is eBay for you, when something looks too good to be true, it usually is. I don’t think he will get anywhere near his asking price this time, but who knows. I wish him luck……..again.

You misread the ad I think. He said it was his most “priced” possession, not prized.

“this is my price possession the only thing I can say I own 100%. to some a nes system could mean nothing but to me its priceless. I hate to part with it but i need the money.”

yeah, but honestly, I think it’s just a misspelling on his end. The context after that, you know? He says it’s priceless to him.

        Yes, the typo is priceless.

Sucks for him, but he is trying to way oversell something so this can be expected.
