Usually a Sheriff’s Deputy has the duty to protect and serve, but that was not the case when 29 year old Gary French allegedly attacked his wife. About 2 weeks ago, the couple had been arguing like most normal couple do — but things got ugly when French’s wife decided to try and piss him off by threatening him. Knowing full well it would make him angry, French’s wife threatened to take away his PlayStation 3.
It was when she touched the PS3 that Gary French flipped the fuck out and attacked his wife. It must have been his undying love for his PlayStation 3 that caused him to grab his wife by the neck, put her in a choke hold, and then lift her away from his console. It’s not the first time that French has been in a situation like this either. In 2008, his ex-wife filed a domestic violence injunction against him and 10 years prior, he pleaded guilty to charges of battery — but he was never convicted.
Police were notified about the incident after French’s ex-wife found out from their kids. They were staying with French when all this went down. French was not arrested because his wife did not want to press charges, and police are also saying that there was insufficient evidence.
