Pokémon Apokélypse, The Pokémon Movie Trailer

PMTthumb

About a week ago we posted a short clip of what looked like a live action Pokemon movie trailer. But at the time, it was a little difficult to determine what was happening in the video due to it being filmed off-screen.

Well, the full trailer has just been released–dubbing the fan-created project as Pokémon Apokélypse. Sadly, this is not a trailer for an actual movie, but that doesn’t take away from the impressiveness of the video itself.

Lee Majdoub, executive producer of the project, revealed that the trailer took approximately a year and a half to create–that’s quite a bit of time. As a result, there are currently no plans to continue production on a full movie. But don’t take that to mean that there won’t be one in the distant future, as members of the team have commented that they wouldn’t be opposed to doing more.

there was a banned episode where I think Team Rocket used guns, but ti was supposed to air in the US the day after Columbine, so they never aired it. However if it wasn’t Team Rocket than my comment is useless…

That was epic. But Pokemon should stay in the realm of kids. Not adults. Although that was cool. Pokemon was most of our childhood shows. A live action pokemon isnt a bad idea. But a dark world pokemon just isnt right.

Team rocket.. finally bad ass. I never did understand why they haven’t tried a teenage pokemon type thing, they have tried everything else.

Wow a year and a half, that is a crap load of time, I would hate to see how long a full length movie would take to make.

Wouldn’t want a full movie anyways, it’s not very true to the series.
