N64 Hackintosh PC Case Mod

This isn’t your huge water cooled hyper PC that can run Crysis 3 through a flux capacitor going 88MPH at 100%. This is a very well done home theater PC that I think anyone would do just about anything for and would suggest to the maker to make more with the intention of selling them.

The maker is Polvorito on ‘The Best Case Scenario‘ board. He picked up the N64 at a flea market for 15 euros (about $21). First order was to gut the N64 to make room for the new insides. He went with a Zotac ION ITX mother board which had most of what he needed so the next piece he needed was a hard drive. The hard drive is a 30GB solid state drive to keep the noise to a minimum.

If this mod wasn’t unique enough the operating system that Polvorito chose was OSX — yeah really. So in addition to being a PC stuffed inside an N64 it’s also a Hackintosh, a name for a PC moded to run Mac software. Polvorito says he took the Hackintosh route because he only has macs at home. You know he had fun making this because he could have gotten the new Apple TV and gotten about the same results.
