For a second I was starting to get a little worried that the All Stars Anniversary Edition wasn’t going to come out here even though the red Wii and DSi had a definite pattern to the announcements. You may be thinking why I’m so worried and the simple answer is that this is a Super Mario history lesson in a box which is awesome!
The All Stars game includes Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario Bros. 3 and can be played with the Wii Remote controller, Classic Controller, Classic Controller Pro or the Nintendo GameCube controller — what no power glove? The soundtrack CD features songs and sounds up to and including Super Mario Galaxy 2. The 32 page booklet has interviews, a look behind the scenes, and rare concept art — what a package!
The Super Mario All Stars 25th Anniversary Edition will be released December 12 and will cost $29.99. If thats isn’t a good deal I don’t know what is anymore. If you’re a Nintendo or Mario fan you are going to lose your mind this holiday season, and frankly I might be right behind you.
