Kinect, how does that work? The Kinect camera may see your head, legs, arms, and torso but how does it see how far away from the camera you are? Well the answer is infrared light put out and taken in by the Kinect.
That’s good information to know but one gamer was not content by simply knowing this he had to see it for himself. So he did what any gamer would do and grabbed his Modern Warfare ‘night vision’ goggles that simulate night vision with infrared light! Lets all see his results as he clumsily stuffs a camera into the goggles.
Not only is this a magnificent electronic mirrored ball effect that even shot into the other room, but it also shows us why everyone needs to stand so far back. He had the Kinect below his TV and the dead zone is still pretty big and it would probably be bigger the higher it is, but then again it’s probably pointed up because it’s low. I don’t know I just like all the pretty lights.

Interesting I didn’t expect that.
I’d want to clean my carpet after that
Impressive.
