Well we can stop saying this new Wii, what ever it will be called is just a rumor because Nintendo has officially stated that in fact they are working on a new device. Not only that, but in deed it is coming in 2012 and will be shown at this years E3.
There is however no other news, no pictures of the device, how much it will cost, or a release window. All they have said is that in fact the rumors are true, and that there is a “Wii2″ but aren’t ready to show it just yet — until E3 comes around where they are bringing a playable model of the device.
All these pictures of a so-called Wii successor are not confirmed as the new device, but the device is real in some secret back room at Nintendo. For full details of the device we will have to wait for E3, or until they get leaked which is more likely to happen, since everything leaks before E3.

Good news for Nintendo fans. Doesn't really matter to me. I like Nintendo, and many of their games, but I feel like it's gotten old now. The constant recycling of games just doesn't do it for me anymore.

Anyway, I am really not convinced to get that console, I just don't feel like it's gonna be such a good improvement from the xbox 360 or the ps3.

Woot Woot! Now I am just wondering what the 'gimmick' of this console will be. President Satoru Iwata said, "it's difficult to make 3-D images a key feature, because 3-D televisions haven't obtained wide acceptance yet." so both motion control and 3D are off the table.

Game Informer and other other gaming news outlets are reporting the Wii 2 will be more powerful than both the Xbox 360 and PS3. If this is true I wonder if there's a chance we could see some high profile games like Mass Effect 3 and GTA V come to the Wii.
I just want a normal controller, please no gimmicks, but knowing Nintendo they will have some.

I don't know how I feel about the supposed controllers with the touch screen. Let's hope the controllers are covered with a warranty because replacements might cost as much as a DS.
