Valve Is Adding Custom Button Remapping To Portal 2

Bittner-header

A few minutes ago, friend of the site Chuck Bittner (aka AskACapper) posted the following image on Twitter–an email from Jeep Barnett of Valve.

Evidently, the 73,610 signatures on Chuck’s petition was enough to convince the developer to add custom button remapping, in addition to horizontal inversion, to Portal 2. Clearly moved by his determination to help people, Valve is introducing this support in the upcoming free Portal 2 DLC, which will soon be available on all platforms.

Now, hopefully Portal 2 as well as Valve’s future games will be more accessible to all players.

Good job, Chuck.

Update: If you’re not sure what Chuck Bittner is petitioning for, here is a video of him explaining the petition.

A small step forward and hopefully a big step forward for everyone if this can be implemented with more games in the future.

Hopefully more companies see this and say. "Well since Valve is doing it, we have to do it." Congratulations Chuck, hopefully you will be getting more and more of these emails in the coming months.
