If Modern Warfare 3 was to keep with tradition of the last few Call of Duty releases — it would offer a $150 Prestige Edition. However, it looks like Modern Warfare 3 decided to not go all out. Infinity Ward’s Creative Strategist Robert Bowling recently revealed via Twitter that the Hardened Edition will be the only collector’s edition for Modern Warfare 3.
The Hardened Edition of #MW3 will be the only collectors edition available this year.
There you have it folks. Your wallet may rest easy now. Maybe they couldn’t think of a cool extra this time around. I was expecting a prestige edition with a nuke, but it looks like I was wrong. Whatever the edition you get, you’ll be able to get your hands on Modern Warfare 3 on November 8th.
Now theres something new. IW turning down something that could make them more money.
