Update 1.2 for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was made available on the PlayStation 3 earlier this week, and today on the Xbox 360 and PC. While this update theoretically fixes a number of significant issues, mostly in regards to the console versions of the game, players are currently being advised to avoid the patch until Bethesda can look further into it.
In an unfortunately unsurprising turn of events, it seems that Skyrim‘s 1.2 update may have potentially broken more than it fixed.
As with all bugs, these issues most likely won’t be experienced by everyone who installs the patch. That being said, a sizable group of players are currently reporting that the PlayStation 3 version of Skyrim is still having noticeable framerate issues, as well as the fact that the game seems to have become unable to recognize magic resistance.
Thankfully, amidst the madness of potentially gamebreaking issues, a sign of hope has emerged.

I love Bethesda, and I still have confidence in them but come on guys. Get it together. It doesn't seem possible for them to ever have a game out that's not riddled with bugs and glitches. Some are funny, but from what I've heard, there's a boat load of game breaking ones too. And that seems to happen entirely too often with Bethesda games. It's not like the engine is some sort of brand new complicated mess. They've had years to figure this out.
Actually it is a brand new engine
Only problem I'm having is with the hotkey and the map/items/magic/skills UI occasionally freezing and not responding. I know it sometimes autosaves when you go to look at your map or items but it freezes 1/2 the time. I have to exit them and step out of my current position before it'll respond again. It happens with the game installed and uninstalled, and is a bit frustrating at times. Anyone else on 360 having this problem?
so now we having dragons that fly backwards da fuck
I just climbed a mountain by violently tapping jump.
Look, it's Oblivion, FO:3, NV, and every other OW game that Bethesda NEVER learned from.
It's the framerate that bothers me the most.
Lol I went to draw my weapon earlier and I was swinging an invisible axe. Let the patch orgy begin
The patch did fix the texture issue on the 360. But man, I ran into one those backwards dragons. My HUD showed he was agressive, but the bastard kept flying backwards, avoiding me, and even getting stuck in mid air. Pretty funny if you ask me. I have yet to test to resistance glitch though. Which seems like a pain in the ass.
I'm a little late to the party, but that picture made me bust out laughing. "Did I do thaaaaaat??"
ugh..... i bet the next update will make the game unplayable
thats nothing the dragon i found flew away when i shot fireballs at it, taunted me from a distance by flying in circles then it flew into the sky till i couldnt see him anymore.. and when i finally got tired of waiting for him and decided to continue my journey he flew back down and killed me! bastard.
