Incredible Borderlands 2 Trailer Features Wub, Reveals September 18 Release

Claptrap-header

At long last, Gearbox Software has finally announced a release date for the highly anticipated Borderlands 2. In an amazing new trailer that was just released, it was officially revealed that the upcoming first-person shooter will launch on September 18, 2012.

The trailer itself is filled with everything you would expect from a Borderlands game – lots of guns, familiar characters, and an illegal amount of dubstep.

Evidently, the four playable characters – Salvador, Maya, Axton, and Zero – will be squaring off against a man named Handsome Jack. Color me intrigued, Gearbox.

As far as I'm concerned, overused dubstep totally works for Borderlands. If Claptrap doesn't become a wub wub machine, Gearbox will have failed.

That it does. Knowing Gearbox, I wouldn't be surprised if they did that to Claptrap.

Nothing wrong with a bit of Nero!

Looking pretty good! I see it's using the same visual style, which might be good or bad, depending on your point of view.

Gotta wonder though if Far Cry 3 will be as full of missed potential as Far Cry 2 was. Hard to trust Ubisoft these days. Especially if you're on the PC.

Very much looking forward to Borderlands 2 however. Had so much fun in co-op in the first one.

If you have someone who will do co-op with you, jump on it.

Maya is basically a redefined Lilith with more powers? This pleases me.

Really excited for this. It's going to be even harder choosing a character this time around.
