This week in Los Santos is a recollection of recent notable events that have occurred on our San Andreas roleplay server. Get into an exciting situation while playing, and you may end up in our weekly write-up.

1) Awfey Takarow Gunned Down Inside Russians Villa

After having what some would call a successful mayoral campaign, Takarow was later gunned down by a LSPD officer inside the Russians Villa. Takarow, who was earlier giving a speech on the pier, was suddenly stopped by law enforcement and asked to come in for a meeting due to criminal activity that happened the night before. Of course anyone that knows Takarow, knows that he has little to no respect for current law enforcement systems and simply dismisses them as corrupt. A small skirmish was had on the pier, before the Russians retreated with Takarow in hand to their villa atop a large hill. A sizeable Russian force with heavy weaponry conducted guard patrol while Takarow lay inside the villa.

Realizing that a handful of policeman and 2 FBI agents wouldn’t be enough to defeat the Russian force, the FBI called on select Grove Street and Sorenos/Sinatra members to aid in the fire-fight to come. Apparently it didn’t take much convincing, as Takarow and the Russians have a reputation for not only angering police units, but other gangs as well. A bloody battle ensued atop the mountain, with both sides ultimately taking quite heavy damage. When the smoke cleared, the law enforcement and it’s gang allies were victorious. LSPD/FBI breached the home, with Grove and Sorenos/Sinatra right behind them. Takarow was found crouching for his life in one of the villas hiding spots. Even though orders were placed by FBI to cease fire, one of the LSPD’s officers took Takarows life before the crowd. He was later proclaimed dead over official government news channels.

2) The Grove Street Sniper Attacks

Over the last week alone, 3 different grove street members have been gunned down on their own turf. Recently, the attacks have stopped but one question is still being asked: Who was responsible for the shootings?

Before the murders, the Grove Street leader Dom was fired upon in Pershing square. FBI later evacuated the area, but it would seem that the snipers were not phased by the course of action. They continued their attacks toward the grove members, gunning down 3 separate men over the course of one night. One would think that it’s a rival gang trying to weaken the Groves forces, but the professionalism and lack of solid evidence indicates a more sophisticated enemy trying to strike fear into the green clad gang.

3) The LSPD’s Reformation

The LSPD have not been in the best light recently. Kreyg Dunzo, now Ex-Chief of the PD, has left for a position offered to him in the FBI. While some would cite this as the root of the problem facing the LSPD, others have known the department to be lacking for sometime. The FBI have stepped in for various meetings, and helped with training programs to try and lift the spirits and prowess of the police force. The LSPD is generally the first response department, and if they can’t keep up with the pace it’s only a matter of time before a riot breaks out upon the streets.

It would seem that the LSPD are finally getting their act into gear though, as entry requirements to be an officer are increased, and a lot more 2 man patrolling squads have been sighted. If the LSPD maintain this rise in standards, perhaps the glory that once was, will be reattained in the future.
