Again stories like this just piss me off. These kind of stories just give gamers a bad rep. But what really makes me mad is the guy that the shooter told he wanted to ‘start a massacre’ not think about it. Whether or not video games did "inspire" him to go on this rampage, they should not be blamed for what happened. This Ryan is obviously mentally unstable for even contemplating massacring people "like in Grand Theft Auto".
It's sad because FOX News is probably going to take this story and run with it as if Ryan is mentally stable and a perfect citizen when it's obvious that he isn't (at least from this story).

Lemme tell you the the things I find wrong with this.

1) Love should have reported Donovan for such thoughts as "starting a massacre" on the ship. If I heard someone say that, I wouldn't let them near any weapons... or cooking utensils.
2) "After a night of drinking" they gave Donovan a weapon. Now, who in their right mind would give a drunk man a fucking automatic weapon? Seriously? All of this shit could have been avoided if they didn't give him the gun. Love again could also have been to blame for not reporting him sooner.
3) When he was opening fire, why didn't anyone fire back? The guy is a madman and there is proof! Knowledge of it at the time or not if he has the balls to do it when he's drunk, he's thought about it in a sober state of mind! They should have opened fire back as soon as the maniac started shooting! If they did this, that Lt. wouldn't be dead now and the other wouldn't be in critical condition.
4) What ticks me off is how this time a game probably did influence him. If I'm not mistaken it read "He told Love that he wanted to stage a 'killing frenzy' like in Grand Theft Auto." Just as there is a rise in status there is an immediate fall. I wouldn't surprised if Fox stuck their shit covered noses in this story and state "THIS IS WHY VIDEO GAMES ARE BAD." Then again, if this was the guy's state of mind, it wouldn't be the video game's entire fault although it did partake as influence to the thoughts of a true madman.

Anyway, the blood vessel in my head just about popped so...
