"Man hurt using explosives in backyard sledding stunt."

A 62-year-old Independence Township man hosting an outdoor winter party in his backyard was rushed to the hospital Sunday night after the explosive backpack he rigged to power him on a sled exploded, police said.

Now, I want to know what was going through this mans head. This just reminds me of that scene in Christmas Vacation, or in a Wile .E Coyote cartoon. Having lived in Houghton Lake, MI. for a few years, I can attest that these types of shenanigans are common place. That's what happens when you mix a bunch of bored guys and alcohol...and lord knows there's plenty of both of those in Michigan.

Trust me, you are not being mean, this guy is a total idiot, but at least there was alcohol involved, cause if he did this sober, he needs some help. I really just want to know what he will try next year? How can you top this? Maybe he will perfect this idea, and make it actually work, or maybe he will blow his ass up again, I cannot wait to hear about this man again.

God I love drunk bored people, the only thing I can think of that happened in Connecticut was six or seven years ago, a kid I knew from school lit himself on fire trying to imitate Jackass. Everyone felt bad for him, I laughed....really, really hard.

Yeah, I think anytime you do dumb shit like this you should plan for it to go wrong. Most of the time it usually does.
